§ 30 BMG - Special registration forms for accommodation

Section 4 (Special Reporting Obligations)

(1) The head of the accommodation or the facilities pursuant to § 29 (4) shall have special registration forms available and shall ensure that the persons concerned fulfill their obligations under § 29 (2) to (4).

(2) Subject to the provision of paragraph 3, the declaration forms shall contain only the following data:

Number of fellow travelers and their nationality in the cases of § 29 (2) sentences 2 and 3 as well as

Serial number of the recognized and valid passport or passport replacement paper for foreign persons.

In the case of foreign persons, the head of the accommodation or facilities referred to in § 29 (4) must compare the details in the registration form with those of the identity document. If there are deviations, this must be noted on the registration form. If foreign persons do not present a valid identity document or no valid identity document, this must be noted on the registration form.

(3) Land law may stipulate that further data may be collected on the entry form for the collection of tourism and spa contributions.

(4) The head of the accommodation or the facilities according to § 29 (4) shall keep the completed registration forms from the date of arrival of the person being hosted for one year and destroy them within three months after expiry of the retention period. The registration forms are to be submitted to the authorities designated under provincial law and the authorities referred to in § 34 (4) sentence 1 numbers 1 to 5 and 9 to 11 for the performance of their duties upon request for inspection. The registration forms are to be kept in such a way that no unauthorized person can see them.
